Evolution Dome returned to Hamburg last month to provide temporary break-out spaces for clients, Presentation Factor. Having previously installed a range of Panoramic pods for the same event in 2016, Presentation Factor were keen to keep things fresh and requested a new method of creating break-out rooms in the challenging venue. With several pillars and post, as well as mezzanine floors, any structures used had to be versatile enough to fit into the venue, as well as offer adequate space for delegates and a level of sound insulation to prevent noise from one pod interfering with the next.
The solution came in the form of Evolution Dome’s range of inflatable walls. The 8x6m pods were created using the wall system, with a curved section at the back, straight walls either side and returns on the front to create an entrance-way. The structures were beautifully lit up in a range of bright colours, wowing delegates with their unique and striking appearance, as well as providing organisers with an easy method of distinguishing the break-out spaces from one another.
The pods were custom assembled to fit around the pillars in the venue, and the 2.4m high air walls absorbed sound within each of the break-out spaces, keeping noise to a minimum.
All six event pods were installed in just one day by one member of the Evolution Dome crew, turning the venue into a functional event space quickly and easily.
The event was a great success with the unique break-out spaces being a talking point amongst delegates. The sound insulation properties and versatile nature of the walls, allowed them to be the perfect fit for the event and venue.
