Back in 2003 AP Security first began providing security and stewarding to just one of the Forestry Commission’s venues for the annual Forest Live concerts. Fast forward five years to 2008 which saw them become the sole security provider across all of the 7 picturesque concert locations. 2015 sees a further extension of that relationship as A.P. Security and Forest Live team up for another four year partnership.
“The Forest Live concerts are certainly close to our hearts,” says John Phillips A.P.’s Business Development Manager, “which is why we are ecstatic to have secured a further contract for the next 4 years. Winning the contract for 2015 is a big reward, particularly for the staff who have worked so hard at over twenty shows per year and now genuinely look forward to working at the Forest Live shows every year.”
“Over the years we have built a strong working relationship with the Forestry Commission” continues John, “we understand the intricacies of putting on a show in what are often quite remote locations. We understand the Forest Live audience and have formed fantastic relationships with David Barrow, the principle contractor for the events and the rest of the team. We are proud to assist in showcasing these beautiful locations to tens of thousands of people each year, many of whom return out of the concert season.”
Rachael Miller, Events Manager for Forestry Commission, England added, “We are very pleased to award our Security and Stewarding contract to AP Security. In the past we have found AP Security to be reliable, professional and flexible and always willing to go above and beyond to try to meet our needs. A real strength of the company is their understanding of the ethos of our programme together with the challenges our unique forest venues present.” “Their on site management structure ensure that relevant information is communicated to every member of their staff to ensure that consistent and appropriate messages are given to the public.” Continued Rachael, “It’s clear that AP Security share the Forestry Commission’s commitment to providing a fantastic visitor experience and we look forward to working with them at our Forest Live concerts over the next four years.”
Andrew Stevens, Director of Strategic Development at A.P. summed up the announcement; “We couldn’t have asked for better news to kick start our year. The Forest Live programme is infectious; it’s a wonderful production in the most beautiful settings. We aim to bring new ideas, new technology and continue our hard work on the forest floor.”
The final word from John Phillips looking forward to the year ahead, “2015 promises to be an even bigger and better year for AP as a huge array of existing contracts are renewed and a number of exciting new ventures are already under way with many more in the pipeline.”
